1. Filtrate reducer
During oil well drilling, surfactant is often added into the drilling fluid system as a fluid loss reducer to make the mud cake more dense, so as to reduce the penetration of free water in the mud cake into the formation and avoid drilling accidents. The filtrate reducer must be resistant to high temperature. If fluorine atoms can be introduced into the molecular structure of the filtrate reducer, the filtrate reducer will have better temperature resistance.
2. Acid corrosion inhibitor
With the development of oil wells, the pressure decreases, and the crude oil in the deep formation is not easy to be recovered. By injecting a certain concentration of acid into the oil well, it can react with the formation rock, improve the formation permeability and improve the oil flow channel, so as to achieve the purpose of oil well stimulation. Fluorine surfactants have excellent acid and alkali resistance, and are quite stable even under strong acidic conditions, while ordinary hydrocarbon surfactants are unstable and easy to decompose under acidic conditions. Therefore, fluorine surfactant is an excellent acid corrosion inhibitor.
3. Drainage aid
Surfactant can also reduce the acid / oil interfacial tension, reduce the capillary retention of formation liquid, accelerate the flowback of residual acid, change the wettability of formation, suspend insoluble particles and prevent the formation of sludge. In order to minimize the surface tension, compound surfactants are usually used. In recent years, fluorocarbon surfactants have been widely used as drainage aids.
4. Bactericide
Surfactant is mainly used as scale inhibitor, preservative and bactericide in oilfield wastewater treatment. At present, most of the fungicides used are dodecyl dimethyl benzyl chloramine (1227), but after long-term use of cationic surfactant fungicides, it is easy to produce drug resistance. Therefore, it is urgent to develop new fungicides, especially fluorine-containing fungicides.
5. Oil displacement additives
Surfactant as oil displacement additive is an important method of tertiary oil recovery. Fluorine surfactant has high surface activity, but the cost is very expensive. It is not realistic to use it as an additive to drive oil. Cheap surfactants such as petroleum sulfonate, petroleum carboxylate and natural carboxylate can be used as the main additives to compound a very small amount of fluorine surfactants. Due to the high surface activity and good compounding performance of fluorine surfactant, such oil displacement system will have higher oil displacement effect.
6. Crude oil demulsifier
The key of crude oil demulsification is to change the properties of oil-water interface and reduce the interfacial tension and membrane strength. The demulsifier with higher interfacial activity and stronger ability to reduce oil-water interfacial tension and membrane strength has better demulsification effect. At present, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene block copolymer is mostly used as surfactant in crude oil demulsifier at home and abroad. Because fluorine surfactant has high surface activity, its combination with hydrocarbon surfactant can significantly reduce the interfacial tension between oil and water and achieve better demulsification effect than ordinary surfactant. At present, with the development of demulsifiers, compound demulsifiers are paid more and more attention, and fluorine surfactants will play a more important role.
7. Fracturing fluid drainage aid
An anionic fluorine surfactant is added to the fracturing fluid as a drainage aid to increase the fracturing effect. Water-based fracturing can improve the crude oil production. The drainage aid is composed of fluorocarbon surfactants, quaternary salt surfactants and solvents. It can be used in fracturing, acidizing and other operations of oil-water wells. It is acid, alkali and salt resistant. Even under the conditions of concentrated acid and high salt content, it still has excellent ability to reduce the interfacial tension, increase the contact angle, reduce the capillary resistance, make the lack of acid easy to be discharged from the formation, and effectively reduce the damage of secondary sedimentation to the formation. It has good compatibility with common fracturing and acidizing additives.
8. Crude oil pour point and viscosity reducer
Most of China's crude oils are high wax crude oils, with wax content as high as 15% ~ 37%. The wax content of some crude oils is as high as more than 40%, and most of them are concentrated in the lubricating oil fraction. Crude oil also contains many components such as gum and asphaltene, which brings many difficulties to the exploitation and transportation of oil. Crude oil pour point depressant is an important part of crude oil flow modifier, also known as pour point depressant (PPD). They are a kind of substances that can reduce the freezing point (SP) of petroleum and oil products and improve their low-temperature fluidity. At present, the recognized crude oil pour point depressant (PPD) includes surfactant, polymer and compound polymer. From the perspective of dispersing wax crystals by pour point depressant, making full use of the high dispersion of polymer surfactant and perfluorinated surfactant can increase the high dispersion groups such as ammonium salt and amide group and strengthen the dispersion of PPD.
9. Fuel synergist
Adding fluorine surfactant into the fuel oil can fully atomize the fuel, complete combustion, improve the combustion efficiency, save fuel, reduce exhaust emissions, reduce environmental pollution, improve the working condition of the engine and prolong the mechanical life.
10. Oil tank preservative
The water and salt in the oil can corrode the oil tank. According to the hydrophobic and oil repellent characteristics of fluorine surfactant, coating the inner wall of the oil tank with fluorine surfactant can significantly prolong the service life of the oil tank and stabilize the quality of crude oil.
11. Crude oil evaporation inhibitor
The high surface activity and good spreading performance of fluorine surfactant can form a water film on the surface of crude oil, which can effectively inhibit the evaporation of crude oil.
